Future Plans!
Thanks to all of you who invested in Altaneve. As you already know, we are “The Ultimate Italian Sparkling Wine.”
We thought it would be a great time to share our plans for the next 12-24 months. We are looking to raise between $500,000 and $1 Million, which will allow us to increase our production to meet greater demand, enter new markets with the assistance of a sales force and a marketing budget and expand our offerings.
SINGLE SERVE BOTTLE: Many of our customers, stores and restaurants have requested that we add a 187ml bottle (single serve size = ¼ size of a regular bottle) to our lineup. This bottle size will allow a much more portable size for our customers, and more importantly, will allow us to sell our high-end Prosecco in a greater number of restaurants. Restaurants often choose not to offer our wine “by the glass,” because they run the risk of opening a bottle, not selling all of it (5 glasses per bottle), and then having the throw away the unsold wine 1-2 days later. A single serve bottle eliminates this problem entirely.
LOWER COST & KOSHER PROSECCO: We have been asked to offer a lower cost and/or kosher Prosecco since the first month we launched Altaneve in the US, so a product offering both would be ideal. A lower priced addition to our current Prosecco lineup (30% less) would dramatically increase our sales numbers, and a kosher wine would give us access to a big market segment in the major US metropolitan areas. To avoid cannibalizing our current sales, this wine will have a slightly sweeter taste profile that targets mass-market appeal with a new name and completely different packaging with only a reminiscent logo to remind customers that we are the producers.
LAMBRUSCO: We have always loved a good, dry Lambrusco, and we already secured a vineyard partner with an incredible vineyard and meticulously manicured vines in the best region of Lambrusco. We are not the only ones who love Lambrusco, as sales have been growing by double digits in the past few years. Adding a Lambrusco would also allow us to offer a sparkling red in addition to our white and rosé offerings, so we could cover more bases and taste profiles.
