Citiesense partner, Numina launches their API for streets
Citiesense is an interoperable platform for all data about downtown communities, street conditions, and commercial activities. As the underlying data platform for downtowns, we enable technology providers like Numina to connect to our platform, adding valuable context and analysis to data from these smart sensors. Numina offers an out of the box computer vision sensor that collects 24-7 data on activities such as foot traffic, cyclists, and illegally parked cars. Our most recent co-deployment explores the use of Numina's sensors to track garbage pickups from the curb. We'll officially announce the location of this new pilot soon. All I can say for now is that it's in one the biggest and busiest neighborhoods in the world, where garbage stacks up fast.
Our first integration with Numina was showcased this past April in Downtown Brooklyn. This was part of a pilot called the Circular City Program, organized by NYC EDC and New Lab. More on that here, for those interested: https://newlab.com/new-lab-city/the-circular-city/
Numina officially launched their API yesterday. We're proud of the role Citiesense has played in helping Numina develop and test their API with our platform and our early adopters.
Citiesense unlocks business development opportunities for products like Numina's computer vision sensors to enter into new markets and test new use cases.
