Growth Plans for 2020
I'm grateful for all of the messages and posts I've received lately about bringing Citiesense to a downtown community that some of you are part of. With this in mind, I wanted to share additional insight into our growth plans for next year.
We have three primary goals for growth next year that this funding will help us achieve.
1) Scale to at least one downtown in the top 13 states across the US that contain the most downtowns, as well as the top two Canadian provinces. (see graphic below for rankings of states and provinces - the darkest blue are the highest ranking markets for our growth plans.)
2) Launch Community Portals with select downtowns to develop and test the local data "Marketplace" features of the platform.
3) Source additional funding for growth.
While we will be heavily focused on establishing customer success in a selection of downtowns we scale the platform to outside New York next year, we have already put in place entry level workflows that will enable other downtowns to sign up and begin working with the platform.
Building off of strong traction to date.
This has always been part of our freemium business model, and has served us well so far here in New York. As you can see in this chart showing our growth over the past three years, we've seen an increase in paid accounts from free accounts signing up and converting to paid accounts since launching a free tier on the platform in 2018.
