Dallas-based investment firm Matador Capital Partners has led a $7 million financing deal for online energy company Geostellar, which one partner described as the "Uber of solar panels."
The company runs a database that allows homeowners to search for their address and find information on how many solar panels they could attach to their roof and where to cut costs the most. Geostellar uses an array of satellite photos and other data - including how shadow patterns fall across a property - to tailor instillation plans from several manufacturers and financiers to best cut down energy costs....
