We have just returned from Milan, Italy, where we took part in the Seeds & Chips Global Food Innovation Summit. This is the largest food innovation event worldwide, bringing together international talent and cutting-edge solutions from around the world.
Following keynote speeches from Howard Schultz, Executive Chairman of Starbucks, and John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State- Farm from a Box took to the main stage to share our approach to Precision Agriculture, Data Monitoring, and Sensing Technology. Our digital technology is specifically designed to empower small/community farms to be more informed and more efficient, as well as make the farm easier to run through automation. What our team has developed is proprietary and very unique, as it works everywhere from urban farms to remote rural locations in underdeveloped countries!

Expansion of World Food Programme project in Tanzania!
Kalimongoma Ushirikiano's Phase 1 was met with some interesting challenges, learned lessons and... success! We are very proud to share that our work with the World Food Programme in Tanzania is being extended! The farmers have been busy preparing the field after the last harvest was taken, and are turning the organic matter back into the soil as the new seedlings grow.
The Country Director of the World Food Programme Tanzania, Michael Dunford, came to the farm yesterday to meet with the team and the community for a tour of the project. The feedback was very good, and we will have some news to share soon as a result!
Our newest team member, Amit Wadhwa, has been an incredible resource during the Phase 2 extension of this project as he has significant experience working with the UNWFP and in building technology designed to impact food security and nutrition monitoring, data analysis and information systems development.
