I hope you have all been staying safe in what has been a tense couple of weeks for us all. As we discussed in our previous update the trucking industry has not been fully immune to the impact of the novel Coronavirus. The national supply chain has felt the effect of the virus but thanks to the brave men and women across the industry supplies continue to be moved. That is why we are continuing to push through, and expect April to be just as strong as March was for us. Please see the updates from March below,
1) We launched, Trucking Weekly, with Pierre Laguerre on Instagram Live: A weekly show airing on Instagram Live every Sunday, where Pierre will discuss the state of trucking, provide updates to stakeholders across the industry, and give some insight into what you can expect from Fleeting in the coming weeks & months. Tune in at 6 pm on Fleeting's Instagram channel, @drivefleeting.
2) Excited to announce that we won the Grand Prize at Harvard's Black New Venture Competition. This $50,000 prize was awarded by two of the top venture capital firms in the country, General Catalyst & Khosla Ventures. 500 companies applied to participate in the competition, and thankfully we were 1 of 25 companies to present. Prizes were ultimately awarded to the top 5 companies. We want to thank General Catalyst & Khosla Ventures for their support, and to the committee for selecting us to participate. We are glad to see organizations like the African-American Students Union (AASU) thriving at Harvard and thankful that they are committed to supporting founders from all walks of life. You can read more about this milestone by clicking this link.
3) In response to the growing COVID-19 crisis, my team and I have decided it is important for us to aid in our country’s relief efforts more directly. With that in mind, we've made a decision to waive our Booking Fees for all medical producers and suppliers who are moving essential supplies across the country, from now till the end of April.
ASK - If you know medical distributors or suppliers having trouble moving shipments across the country, please let us know.
Please let us know if you have any suggestions for us. We wish you and your family health and safety at this time! If we can be helpful, please reach out!
