Hearo.Live eStadium and the Big Leagues
It’s been awhile since we updated you on progress at Hearo, so here’s the news.
Hearo.Live is now in discussions with the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL. Our goal is to set up pilots this year and deploy next year. The big leagues are interested in a Hearo eStadium mode in their mobile apps that can handle millions of fans. Our plan is to bring in a top notch venture capital firm to enable this expansion, and then immediately wrap up our Republic campaign, like Teooh just did.
Hearo’s eStadium mode is a scaled up version of our TV sports watch parties. Hearo lets you watch and cheer ESPN, TNT, TBS, NBC, … on your phone, with your friends and other fans like you’re there, in a VIP box, together. We’ll unveil the magic once baseball and basketball restarts (July 24/30).
#CheerApartTogether is a big PR opportunity for us. Sports media needs something to talk about and, through a strange twist of fate, Hearo may be the (only?) live audience for American sports this year. After we raise our Series A we plan to take our eStadium for TV/streaming sports/events global.
If you don’t miss sports, We’re also deep into testing watching Netflix with your friends and family. By this fall we are shooting to be the first watch party/theater for mobile and PC, that lets you watch pristine, full screen media and talk naturally … your virtual couch.
After three years of sweat, our impossible dream, to watch our favorites (Netflix, TV Sports, YouTube, Twitch …) with our friends, on our PCs & phones, is becoming real. With physical gathering banned, ‘virtual venues’ of various maturities/flavors/niches are raising capital: Hopin $40m, Teooh $4.5m, Caffeine $113m, Wave $42m, Run The World $15m, ClubHouse $10m. This shows how interested venture capital is in this market today. Beyond virtual living rooms, theaters and stadiums for Media & Entertainment ($2T) we see a market opportunity for Hearo virtual classrooms (Education $6T) with the right partners.
You don’t have to wait until Netflix and ESPN to try out Hearo. Try it on your phone today. Watch YouTube, Twitch or a Pluto movie like 1776 while talking with your friends, then give us your feedback. If you love it please post a nice review on Google Play or the Apple App store. Thanks!
