Kangaroo Readies New TV Campaign Promoting Brand and New $20 Doorbell Camera
Smart home security upstart, Kangaroo is prepping to launch a national direct response TV campaign touting its new $20 Doorbell Camera & associated $99 Front Door Security Kit, which adds in Motion + Entry sensors, and a full-year of premium service with Professional Monitoring. Kangaroo has had early success appealing to first time home security owners with its affordable, simple, and secure DIY home security kits, and is now extending its marketing efforts to TV. The campaign, set to debut in late August, features a diverse and somewhat quirky cast of characters, including new homeowners, a dad (image below), a spitfire grandmother, and a single, young female artist promoting Kangaroo's value and simplicity.
"The home security market is quickly expanding and diversifying and Kangaroo's products and services are particularly well aligned with needs and desires of first timers, who are fueling that growth," said Bob Stohrer, Chief Marketing Officer at Kangaroo. "This new TV campaign is designed to drive online sales, while further increasing Kangaroo's brand awareness, which will support our planned distribution expansion in the back-half of 2020."
The campaign, produced by Utah-based Slant Video, is slated to run on national cable TV outlets including HGTV, DIY, ID, Bravo, and Comedy Central during Q3, and Q4 of 2020.
