Just saw your Tedx talk. It was very impressive to see the energy and enthusiasm you brought to the vision that created Farm from a Box. Congratulations, for forging ahead in different locations and cultural contexts.

@brandi-decarli Thanks for remembering my request, Brandi. I will be sure to watch this weekend. Have been tied up with some deadlines. Still, I did note your progress in Tanzania, and was happy about it.

Is there now a ceiling on adding to an original investment?

Hi Fatima, Unlike Jack, I was unaware of Amazon spreading its tentacles inside campuses. I listened to you yesterday, and I would still invest. I suspect many students would still prefer Jetpack, since those who deliver the orders are students like them in need of some income. Here's a suggestion: survey your customers on campus about what local products (baked goods, fruits, etc. they would like delivered), and forge local contracts that Amazon cannot replicate. This may be a laughable idea, but it's important to introduce a twist that makes Jetpack more compelling than Goliath. Here's what I found on CNN: money.cnn.com/2017/08/15/technology/amazon-instant-pickup/index.html
You still have the edge on the last mile delivery! They are a pickup service.

I could not find a way to access the talk. There was no arrow embedded to suggest an audio or video. Did I miss something?

So far, my grasp of your system is that Flip Word emphasizes "learning" rather than "speaking" a language. I know from experience that I can learn a language without being able to speak it, so please tell me about your approach to "speaking." Thank you.

Why Nalini Visvanathan Invested

Logo of Jetpack
Jetpack stirred a lot of excitement in my grandson, who just entered high school. Ethan wants to be an entrepreneur. This investment is for him, his birthday gift.

In the early 1980's I took my daughter to lectures and panel presentations by women scientists and engineers. I wanted her to learn about the full spectrum of her academic and career options. This time it is for my granddaughter and grandsons.
