Our Huge Impact Is Measurable and Recognized
When we compare our 2019 savings of 570 metric tons of CO2 emissions to this latest report, it confirms our track record!
Our calculations have consistently shown that since 2014, PittMoss products prevented the emissions of 3,811.11 metric tons of CO2 compared to traditional peat-based soils. So over the last six years we’ve put a real dent in CO2 reduction as well as the amount of water saved, and the reduction of nitrogen and phosphorous!
GoodCompany Ventures, a venture capital incubator who assists start-ups with innovative solutions to big, unmet social and environmental challenges, has recognized PittMoss for the good work we do and certified our recycling process data.
