Stareable’s latest relative to the current COVID-19 news
We know the current global pandemic is top of mind for many investors and wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on how it is affecting Stareable. Thus far, we have seen little impact to our operations. We were already a fully remote team and our ability to work has continued without significant interruptions. Our online platform continues to grow inline to better relative to before COVID spread. If anything, audiences are consuming more content than ever. For our festival, we have actually noticed a silver lining, which is that many brands who had previously allocated marketing dollars and bandwidth to spring and summer events that have since been canceled (SXSW, NAB, Tribeca Film Festival, Cannes) are now looking for other opportunities later in the year for their marketing schedules. We’ve initiated several new material conversations in the past couple weeks as the result of this trend.
We’re continuing to monitor global developments very closely and are taking a keen eye to unnecessary expenditures while economic trends feel unstable. We will keep you posted as things develop on our end.
