Sunu takes first steps to becoming an approved vendor for the US Veterans Administration
We are taking the first steps to becoming an approved vendor for the United States Veterans Affairs, VA. This week, we began our collaboration with New Products & Technology Committee at the Tucson Arizona VA Blind Rehabilitation Center, which will be testing out the Sunu Band and our mobile app. We will be providing the VA team with on-boarding and virtual training throughout the next couple of weeks. This is an important steps towards attaining vendor status with the VA healthcare system.
What is the VA?
The Veterans Health Administration is the first national healthcare system to completely integrate rehabilitation services for Veteran and active Service-members with visual impairments into its health benefits. There are more than one million US Veterans who are blind and visually impaired. The VA provides blind and low vision rehabilitation services as well as cutting-edge assistive technology throughout its blind and low vision clinics, outpatient clinics and blind rehabilitation centers across the USA and its territories.
