Progress on Key Objectives
This week, I wanted to focus specifically on our top priorities related to positioning the company for its institutional priced venture round. In addition to the continued growth of our platform, the primary use of proceeds through the Republic offering are being allocated to IP Protection through patents, placement of several key roles, as well as our rebrand. We have begun working toward each of these priorities to allow us to move from the closing of the current offering to the commencement of our institutional round - which will enable scaling of the platform – as efficiently as possible.
We believe the propriety systems and software we're developing - central to the innovative user experience, as well as the magnitude of the opportunity - should be protected before being exposed to institutional investors. Working with company counsel at Dentons, we have begun the process of patenting key components of the software.
As I reported last week, we have finalized the selection of our CTO, and couldn't be more excited about where we landed. We have also been considering many incredible possibilities for Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing. We're narrowing down candidates, positioning ourselves to finalize selections, at the right time, based on our progress. We expect to announce our heads of Marketing and Merchandising within one month.
Regarding the rebrand, I'd like to thank all of you who participated in the poll. Your feedback was very helpful, and it was great to have you involved in the process. The final names selected, in part based on the poll, were Lyvv, and Moro. Unfortunately, we hit a bit of a snag as there are potential trademark conflicts with both of these brand names. While this is something we are exploring further, we're cognizant of the fact that we may need to go back to the drawing board for the right brand name.
Lastly, we are overwhelmed and humbled by the amazing messages and support we have been receiving from many of you. It is quite exciting to have expanded our network through this offering in such a meaningful way. Many of you are leaders in related sectors, including design, marketing, finance, media, furniture, and technology and we place huge value in your perspectives, experiences, and networks. In addition to wanting to express my gratitude once again, I thought I'd share some of your amazing messages for why you decided to get involved with WeLivv, below.
