NOVEMBER - Product Update Summary!
Hey all,
On behalf of the Juked team, we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a restful (and safe) Holiday planned this December.
It's been a super productive month when it comes to product improvements, additions, and tweaks to Juked.gg. I wanted to break down some of the more impactful ones to keep you up to date:
Stream aggregation and stream switching
Most major esports events are streamed across many different channels, from non-English streams, to Twitch AND YouTube streams, to "co-streams" (individual influencers streaming their own commentary over an esports tournament). This month we've added a suite of tools that allow users on Juked to easily browse all available streams for a single event in order to choose their preferred way to watch.
This is huge for us because it is our first step towards localization, and provides a very unique value that differentiates us from other platforms. Many people prefer Twitch over YouTube, or vice versa. Big win.
Another awesome aspect of this change is that we're now presenting aggregated viewership for an esports tournament that sums up viewership across all available streams. For data nerds like myself, this is a very cool addition that gives a much better sense of the actual global interest in an event (vs. just one English main stream). Since we launched this feature we've had a number of tournament organizers express interest in the feature. Very cool.
Visual updates to game pages + follow button
We've now added visual flairs to our game pages which, in my opinion, look great! We've also added follow buttons to each game page to make it simpler and easier to engage with the games you love when browsing the site. We're in the process of revamping our following system all together, so lots of cool new stuff is coming there very soon - aka the ability to follow teams and players! (if you look closely, the first iterations of this are already in)
Various bug fixes, tweaks, and improvements
I won't bore you with the details on all of these, but believe me, they're good! :)
All for now.
