Corporate Programming Launches in LA with well-known Santa Monica VC
Our first Los Angeles B2B account for weekly meal delivery to a venture capital firm kicked off earlier this month. This account is significant not only as a new revenue stream, but also because it’s with an early-stage consumer technology VC firm with investments in Daily Harvest, Lyft, Pinterest, Ring, and Bird.
After the firm’s partners tried Provenance during a catered lunch event in Santa Monica, they initiated the B2B account to provide healthy weekly meals for their employees. We know that our nourishing and delicious food will whet their appetite to explore investment in our larger fundraising round.
We haven’t even begun to scratch the surface on the B2B opportunity for prepared meal services. Restaurant Business Magazine reported that the catering industry alone is worth $58 billion in 2017 and is scheduled to increase by 5.6% in the coming year. Our strategic roadmap includes plans to hire a Business Development Manager later this year to establish more of these relationships and capitalize on the B2B market, including catering, fridge stocking, and wholesale opportunities.
